Promod – Enhancing workforce agility
Success story

Since 2018, Promod has shifted from a mass-market sales model to a responsible and personalized retail concept. This transition was powered by a comprehensive HR and cultural transformation, supported by Neobrain’s expertise. Promod partnered with Neobrain to align these changes with their people strategy, ensuring a human-centered approach to transformation.

Client Background

Since 2020, Promod has embraced a new purpose, with eco-design and responsible production at the heart of its business. This shift presented the perfect opportunity to strengthen their commitment to workforce agility using the Neobrain platform.

At the same time, it became clear that a fresh approach to performance evaluation was necessary, one that could reveal the key drivers behind it. Supporting employees in understanding their strengths and areas for improvement came with a strong focus on their skills.

Promod needed new momentum to embody their ambitious HR goals, and the quarterly performance reviews became the launching pad for a transformation that continues to evolve today.

The identified challenges

Emilie Messiaen-Mouton and Maud Portier highlighted three key challenges:

  • Securing the organization’s ability to have the right skills in the right place at the right time.
  • Empowering employees to grow, ensuring they have the expertise that not only guarantees their employability within the company but also beyond it.
  • Streamlining HR processes and simplifying the daily work of everyone involved—from employees to managers and HR teams.

Promod has always prioritized HR development, but the goal was to make it visible and tangible for everyone.

Our approach‍

Our shared vision is to move forward step by step rather than launching all features at once.

The onboarding to the new tool took place in September 2021, during the quarterly performance review campaign, supported by comprehensive training and awareness sessions in which Neobrain was deeply involved.

This campaign featured three key elements:

  • Skill evaluation as the starting point for discussions between employees and managers.
  • Setting shared performance goals.
  • A 360° feedback campaign.

With Promod’s employees working on the ground and many without access to computers, mobile became the most effective lever. A major advantage was added to the solution: full access to all preparation, interview tracking, and skill evaluation modules through a mobile app.

Looking ahead, new milestones are set for early 2025, including streamlining the skills framework to guide employees in their career development and suggest internal mobility opportunities

Results

A strong commitment with nearly 100% of employees engaged since the launch in 2021.

  • Full coverage of field teams (retail locations), thanks to the mobile app.
  • Tracking and saving conversations between managers and employees.
  • Standardized measurement of quarterly goal achievement.
  • Involvement of everyone in defining development plans (training, etc.)

Engagement Loop

This module powers performance reviews, transforming them into meaningful conversations focused on employees.

The internal skills framework fuels the skill evaluation process, providing critical support for achieving performance goals. This evaluation is not just top-down; it draws from the employee’s entire ecosystem.

Objectives are aligned from leadership to teams, right down to individual contributors.

Talent Marketplace

Through this module, Promod elevates the quality of its HR development by aligning the skills to be developed with existing training catalogs.

This connection is central to Promod’s commitment to workforce agility, while also driving a more efficient allocation of HR investments
