Promod - employability at the heart of HR strategy

Success Story
Since 2018, Promod has moved from a mass-market sales model to a responsible, personalized retail concept. This transition has been supported by an HR and cultural transformation, carried out with the support of Neobrain's teams. Promod called on Neobrain to harmonize these changes on a human scale

Customer context

Since 2020, Promod has been conveying a new meaning to its business, with eco-design and sustainable production at its core. This transition is an opportunity to reinforce its employability commitments to its internal population with the Neobrain platform.

At the same time, it became clear that a new approach to performance assessment was needed, to bring out the reasons behind it. As such, supporting employees in understanding their strengths and areas for improvement went hand in hand with an emphasis on their skills.

Promod needed to breathe new life into its HR ambitions, and the quarterly performance review was the springboard for an improvement that is still underway today.

The identified issues

Emilie Messiaen-Mouton and Maud Portier detail 3 main challenges:

  • Secure the organization's ability to have the right skills in the right place at the right time.
  • Develop employees so that they have the know-how to ensure their employability both within and outside the organization.
  • Streamline HR processes and simplify daily life for everyone involved, from employees to HR teams and managers.

Promod has always had an HR development program that had to be made visible and concrete for as many people as possible.

Our approach‍

Our shared vision is to move forward in stages, rather than putting every feature online.

Onboarding to the new tool took place in September 2021 during the quarterly piloting campaign, and benefited from awareness-raising and training in which Neobrain was involved.

The campaign had 3 components:

  • The skills assessment is the key to exchanges between employees and managers.
  • Setting shared performance targets
  • A 360° feedback campaign

Promod's employees are out in the field, and not all of them own a computer, which makes the mobile the most effective lever. A major asset has therefore been added to the solution: access to all the modules for preparing, monitoring interviews and evaluating skills via a mobile application.

New steps are planned for early 2025: the streamlining of the skills repository, in order to project employees in their career plans and suggest internal mobility.

Results

  • A very strong commitment, with almost 100% of people connected since the launch in 2021.
  • Coverage of "field" populations (points of sale), thanks to the mobile application.
  • Recording of exchanges between managers and employees.
  • Harmonizing the measurement of quarterly target achievement
  • Involving everyone in defining support plans (training, etc.).

This module feeds into the interviews, which become a real time of exchange dedicated to employees.

skills 's internal repository feeds into skills ' s assessment to provide essential support in achieving performance. This assessment is not just top-down, but comes from the individual's entire ecosystem.

Objectives are aligned from management to teams, right down to the individual contributor.

With this Module, Promod enhances the quality of its HR development. It consists in aligning skills with existing training catalogs.

This association is central to Promod's commitment to employability, and also promotes a form of rationalization of HR investments.

The right skill, at the right place, at the right time.
